Jinmen Loch Golf Course

Jinmen Loch Golf Course, located 40 kilometres south of Beijing, is a new course at Beijing Yaoshang Country Club was opened in late 2004. It has been constructed from the fertile sandy flood plains of the Yong Ding River with a championship length of 6800 metres - Par 72. This course is strongly mounded and powerfully bunkered to create a formidable challenge for China's golfers.

The course derives its name from the nearby, ancient stone "Jinmen Loch" system built some 500-600 years ago to control water flows from the Yong Ding River to the bordering farm land. Local stone masons have accurately re-created 3 of these stone Loch's on the new course, which operate to control water levels on the course lake and stream system.
