His vast knowledge of golf strategy and playing the game has helped to develop an individual style for the positioning of organically shaped bunkers and hasards into the existing landforms to create aethetically pleasing golf courses. Bob has been a member of the Australian Golf Course Architects Society since 1993.
Bob's many years of travelling the world playing golf has prepared hom for the many different courses over 30 years he has a great understanding of the subtle challenges confronting the golf architect.
Bob Shearer has been one of Australia's most successful golfers. Although still playing in selected tournaments on the European Seniors Tour Bob is now concerntrating on the golf design business - Shearer Golf Design.
Bob began his golfing career on the famous sand belt courses of Melbourne, Australia, He turned professional in 1970 after winning the Australian Amateur Championship in 1968. Five years were spent on the European Tour before moving his family to the USA where he played successfully on the US PGA Tour for nine years.
During his playing days Bob was on the PGA tour board for 6 years where he influenced the final outcome of many tournaments throughout Australasia. In total Bob won over 25 professional tournaments around the world, including the New Zealand Open, the Madrid Open and the Tallahassee Open and holds both the Australasian PGA and Open titles.
Bob is currently a member of the Society of Golf Course Architects. He has written for many newspapers and gold magazines and is often part of the television commentary team at major tournaments throughout Australia.
Sandra Mackenzie Design Consultant - Ladies Golf
With awealth of experience across many aspects of professional golf, Sandra works in association with Shearer Golf Design to provide design input and ensure all design issues affecting the ladies game are met to the standards of excellence experienced by all other players.
Having played the US, Japan and European Ladies Tours and now currently coaching professionally, Sandra is probably best known for her extensive golf broadcast work both is Australia and Internationally. She covers both Men's and Women's events all over the world from the commentary box and on the course. Sandra also spent six years as co-host of a weekly golf show on Melbourne radio station 'Sport 927'.
She has been involved in the development and set-up of numerous courses and is currently the Vice-President of Australian Ladies Professional Golf Incorporated.

Kathie Shearer Media Relations, Marketing & Corporate Consultant Services
Kathie has 18 years experience in marketing, media liaison and the organisation and management of golf media centres at all major golf tournaments in Australia and other selected tournaments internationally. Additionally she has extensive networks and this couples with her marketing and organisational skills make her a valuable member of the golf course architects team.
In 2001 Kathie received an award from Australian Golf Gigest for her long time services to golf.
