Located
in Shandong Province, two hours northeast of the seaport city of Qingdao, famous
for its "Tsingtao" beer, the proposed resort development
includes villas and a championship golf course of 6595 metres. The undulating
site is located adjacent the beautiful Silvery Beach on the Yellow Sea, offering
fantastic views of the distant mountains to the west and the nearby coastline
to the south and east.
The course layout has been designed with holes located
directly adjacent the sandy beach and along the top of the sites rugged rocky coastline reminiscent of the famous Pebble Beach in the USA.
A beautiful beachside clubhouse is planned on the coast overlooking the 18th with 2 returning loops of nine. Considerable earthworks will transform the central part of the site from a flat site to a rolling landscape with several large lakes and incorporating areas of windbreak pine tree plantation.
Construction of the course commenced in late 2003 and is due for completion early 2006.
